ABOUT ABDULLAH
I've spent the majority of my adult life navigating my passions in the arts and the sciences. I began my research journey with materials sciences back in 2015 and developed a keen passion on exploring the field ever since. My natural meditative state peaks when relating to another fellow biological being; when contemplating the fact that my ceramic- and fiber-reinforced polymer and lipid matrix, i.e., body, undergoes the same biochemical reactions.
I’m interested in studying and engineering soft materials, particularly bioinspired ones. I seek a better understanding of Nature’s principles in synthesizing, shaping, and coloring the natural world around us. I plan to do so from a materials science perspective, backed by chemistry and mechanics, and coupled with materials engineering. With targeted outcomes in biosensing, wearable technology, and sustainable polymers.
Besides the natural sciences, there is no element more integral to my human experience than music. I sing and play the Oud (ūd). [Check out my original Wa Qulna] Whether harmonizing with choirs or jamming with bands, I immerse myself in music wherever I tread.
I have a deep appreciation for nature that goes beyond mere observation. Hiking and camping allow me to immerse myself in the outdoors, connecting with the natural world on a personal level. Additionally, I enjoy exploring Philosophy and Near Eastern mythology, delving into the complexities of existence and ancient narratives as a source of intellectual stimulation.
